Lovehoney Special Edition Gin & Tonic Flavoured Lubricant 100ml

Every toy box needs a good water-based lube and this works a treat.

This was meant as a treat for Mrs K&C and more for her use as I really dislike gin after a messy night a few years back, however, the taste is more like a hint of lemon than gin and tonic. Absolute winner in my book but a bit disappointing for Mrs K&C who was looking forward to a gin taste.

The bottle is fairly small, but a little goes a long way with this special edition. Now the thickness is slightly thinner than the Lovehoney Extra Silky lube and is more comparable to Sliquid.

In use it was perfect. It lasted about 15 minutes before a little top up was required. Top tip I have learnt is that if you smash a little water on the lubes area it will reactivate the lube and stop the stickiness.

Easy applicator means no waste, for us this is important as some pump action applicators mean you waste a bit of lube every time you lock the pump.

Cleaning up after use is easy with a sex toy cleaner spray and didn't leave a film on any of our toys.

For me it's 5 stars but Mrs K&C it's a 4 for the lack of gin taste.

This product was sent to me as a tester and I was very intrigued to try it because I'm not that much of a fan of the actual drink so I was curious to see if the lube version tasted any better. I have to admit it didn't taste bad but it didn't really taste like any gin and tonic I've tried. To both myself and my fiancé it did smell vaguely like gin and tonic but it tasted like synthetic lemons. That's the best way we could describe it, it tasted like lemon-flavoured lubricant and that's it.

The texture was very smooth which I liked because I've had other flavoured lubes from different shops and they've had a horrible, almost gritty, texture. So Lovehoney definitely exceeded my expectations for this product.

The lube didn't dry out or lose flavour particularly quickly but I found it did happen a bit quicker than with most standard lubes. I found that we needed to add more after less time than we have with other lubes to keep the flavour topped up.

The bottle the lube came in is good quality and not too flimsy. There's nothing worse than a cheap feeling bottle because you're just waiting for it to burst. So it's nice to have the security of a good quality bottle in case I take it travelling.

When I had the email there was some excitement as I love lube and I was hopeful that the taste would be better than those I've tried before. All the strawberry and fruit flavours in the past have been over sticky and a very synthetic taste.

We'll the package turned up as expected with Lovehoney' s standard 48-hour delivery. A bit of a shame that free next day has been dropped from their unlimited customers

As usual and I've come to expect the package arrived in a discreet brown box with no reference to Lovehoney or it's content. Always a bonus when ordering some of the more intermate products.

The box was ripped open with about 30 seconds as I was eager to see and taste the lube. A quick squeeze of the bottle and the lube came out on to my finger easily. A quick rub between my fingers and you can feel the lubrication and how soft and slippery it actually is. As mentioned before other flavoured lubes have been sticky so this was nice to actually feel like a lube.

A lick of my fingers and the taste was pleasant. Not too artificial but I'm sure some will miss the taste of real alcohol.

Later the OH came home so I whipped her upstairs to show her what the postman had brought and I was in the mood to give it ago.

So I applied to her favourite toy, the trusty wand! And away we went she climaxed as she always does in no time with her wand and then I set in to clean up...

The lube was still smooth and slippy and the taste was still there. It was very easy to clean up and I loved licking every last drop from her.

Definitely, one that I'll be going back to.
