What is a Vagina Pump?
A pussy pump, also known as a vagina pump or vulva pump, is a sexual enhancement toy to heighten your sensitivity and increase pleasure. They typically consist of a suction chamber, tub and pump. The suction cup is placed over the labia and/or clitoris, which targets this erogenous area with an airtight seal.
Depending on what you’re after, pussy pumps can cover the entire vulva area, or you can select one which targets the clit specifically.
How does a Pussy Pump work?
Basically, a pussy pump stimulates your vulva into deep arousal (also known as a lady boner).
As you pump, the tissue around your labia and clitoris will swell which prompts better blood flow and make the area much more responsive. The tighter the seal and the more you pump, the greater sensitivity that you’ll enjoy.
How to use a Pussy Pump
- Start by lubricating the edge of your pussy pump with a water-based lubricant, such as the Lovehoney Enjoy Lubricant, to create an air-tight seal over your erogenous area.
- Check that the quick-release valve located beneath the pump bulb is closed. This will only allow air to pump out, not inwards.
- Press the pussy pump chamber against your desired area (vulva, clitoris or nipples) with a firm seal.
- Holding one hand on the pump chamber to keep it secure, squeeze the pump bulb until you feel the suction sensation.
- Release the bulb and check the seal against your skin. At this stage, the pump chamber should be able to stay in place without the aid of your hand - the pressure of the suction should do the job. If it is not yet sealed against your skin, continue to manually hold it in place and keep pumping!
- Continue the process of compressing and releasing the bulb of your pump until you can feel and see your clitoris, labia or nipples swelling in the chamber. You might find it a strange feeling at first, but it should not feel painful.
- If you reach the stage that your skin is now pressing against the chamber, you’ll find it difficult to pump any further. Press the quick-release valve below the bulb to allow air to enter the chamber.
- Lastly, gently remove the pussy pump and enjoy your beautifully swelled, excitingly engorged vulva.
How much does a Pussy Pump cost?
The price of pussy pumps can range between $35.00 - $130.00 NZ, providing different options to suit your budget and how high-tech you’d like your pump to be. Usually, vibrating or automatic rechargeable pussy pumps are on the more expensive end.
What does a Pussy Pump feel like?
Similar to a nipple sucker or penis pump, a vagina pump feels surprisingly pleasurable during use, but even better when you take it off. As your pump is designed to mimic what happens when you’re aroused, once you take it off, any stimulation to that area will be incredibly heightened.
Is Pussy Pumping safe?
Vagina pumping is a safe activity. If you experience any discomfort, be sure to stop pumping. While it may take some time to get used to the unique sensation, it should never cause any pain. Remember to use lubricant while pumping or during sexual activity afterwards as the vacuum can cause dryness.
However, it’s important to not over-pump as this could lead to injury or damage to your pump.
