Position of the Week: Head First | Lovehoney

You'll feel pretty pleased with yourselves if you’re able to pull this off. An elevated take on the classic 69 position, Head First increases the intensity and closeness between each partner, allowing you both to enjoy a more targeted oral sex session.

How?

The receiving partner sits on a sofa, chair, or on the edge of a bed with their feet firmly on the floor. The giving partner climbs onto the receiving partner’s shoulders from behind (as if they are giving them a shoulder ride). The giver gently lowers the receiver until their head is within easy reach of the giver’s sweet spots. The giver holds onto the receiver's thighs for extra support, while the receiver moves their pelvis closer to the giver’s face and guides them with their hands around their waist and buttocks.

Why?

This position requires both partners’ bodies to maintain closeness and support each other’s body weight, making the oral pleasure more focused and direct and potentially culminating in simultaneous climaxes. It also requires you to be in tune with each other’s body language and pleasure, due to the limited eye contact and verbal communication. This creates an enhanced level of intimacy that is less intense than a standard 69 position.

Try

Add a tasty twist by applying flavoured lubricant to your penis, vulva, or clitoris before kick-off and make every lick and caress even more delicious.

Make it even better

Add a bit of anal stimulation into the mix to really satisfy those hungry nerve-endings. One or both partners could slip in a butt plug to add a wonderful ‘full-up’ feeling to your oral pleasure session.

Not the position for you?

We're working to make sure that everyone is represented on our website, regardless of who you love, so we'll be using a variety of gender depictions in our Position of the Week posts. This will include straight, gay, lesbian, and gender neutral couples, but all positions will have details in the description of how to make them work for your own relationship dynamic.
