If you buy only one lube, make it a water-based lube such as Fifty Shades of Grey Ready for Anything Aqua Lubricant. It has a light, natural feel which is perfect for sex and sex toys.
Water-based lubes won't stain your bedsheets, mess with your barrier contraception or - and this is of great importance - warp the surface of your faithful vibrator.
The only downside with water-based lubes is that you may need to use quite a lot during prolonged sessions as it can dry out easily and be absorbed into the skin.

Best Long-Lasting Lube:
Silicone-based lubes give us the best of both worlds: the highly-arousing, slick feel of oil plus the safety-first advantages of water-based lube.
Silicone lube is generally more expensive, but the long-lasting properties mean you won’t need to keep topping up your lubrication and you’ll probably need less of it too. Silicone lube is even waterproof, making slippery sex in the shower or bath a possibility.
Silicone will not harm condoms, but one note of caution: do not use silicone lube with silicone sex toys.

Best for Oral Sex:
Wonderful for oral sex, flavored lube makes foreplay great fun and tasty, too. Our best-selling flavored lubricants come in lots of fruity and refreshing flavors. We love the Frutopia range of flavored lubes as they don't contain any parabens or aspartame and they're suitable for vegetarians, too! The delicious flavors include Mango Passion and Raspberry. Yum!
Flavored lubricants are equally as suitable for penetrative sex, so a blowjob, cunnilingus or analingus doesn't have to be the main agenda when using these delicious treats.

Best for Anal Play:
The consistency of anal lubes is much thicker than that of ordinary lubes. This extra thickness helps protect the sensitive skin of the anus and many also offer a moisturizing effect too. When using anal lube, apply it both to your anus and your sex toys or partner. Although it might be difficult to achieve penetration at first, you'll appreciate the ultra slick feel once you get into the swing of things.

Is it safe to use lubricant with condoms?
For the most part, yes. All water-based, silicone and flavored lubes are 100% safe for use with condoms. The only exception is oil-based lubricant which can degrade the latex of condoms. You'll find that male masturbation lubes are often oil-based. We will always tell you on the product page if a lubricant is not suitable for use with condoms, so make sure to do your research before you buy.
What is silk lube?
Some lubricants are referred to as silk or hybrid lubes. This means that they're technically a mix between water-based and silicone, but the silicone content is low enough that it's fine for use with silicone toys. The advantage of a hybrid lube is that it tends to be more long-lasting than one that is purely water-based.
Can I use coconut oil as lubricant?
Yes, although it can't be used with condoms and some sex toys. We recommend using a bottled lube which has been tested and approved for intimate use.
Can I use lubricant with my sex toys?
You can use water-based lube with all sex toys. You should not use silicone lube with silicone sex toys or "real feel" toys like Fleshlights as the silicone in the lube can degrade the finish of your toy.
